Description

This saddle has been personally designed by Dominique Barbier to allow for absolutely correct rider position. By placing the deepest part of your seat forward, and the stirrup bars back, your legs will naturally hang under your body where they are needed for the closest contact with the horse.
All our saddles are individually handcrafted by skilled French saddle makers using only outstanding handpicked leather, tanned and color dyed to soft perfection and assembled with the greatest care. This saddle uses a more rigid tree than our Deluxe and Bison saddles, but is still designed to enhance your horse’s comfort. This saddle should last a lifetime and is wonderfully economic.
A standard size (55 cms) elastic and leather girth made by the same French craftsmen is offered with the Barbier Classic saddle. The standard size tree fits 95% of horses. As all our saddles are custom made, special considerations for rider size and tree widths can be accomodated. Please contact Debra to discuss your needs. European craftsmanship typically requires three months for delivery.
Shipping and Insurance for U.S. orders is $55.00. Saddles and girths will be mailed by UPS Ground unless otherwise specified. Please contact us for delivery information outside the U.S. or with any special ordering requests.

Available in BLACK or HAVANNA.

After going through 3 saddles(purchased) and 3 saddle fitters, also many other saddles that were shipped for trial and shipped back, the Barbier saddle fits my short backed, wide shouldered horse beautifully. Also, very importantly this is the best fitting saddle for short-legged me. I can finally keep my legs under me without fighting the saddle. I rode in the Barbier saddle twice in Dominique’s clinic and bought it the next day.
